Do you offer training plans for studios?

Yes, we offer Team Traning for studios and operations. Please reach out to hello@doublejumpacademy.com for more information.

How long do I have access to the workshops?

You will have lifetime access to the course and its materials.

However, if you enrolled using an installment plan and fail to complete the payments, your access to the workshop will be paused until the remaining balance is paid.

Is the training live?

No, our training is not live. You don’t need to attend at a specific time. Lessons are released weekly, starting from the first day of the course.

The program is designed to be flexible, accommodating busy schedules and full-time jobs, and is accessible to students worldwide.

International VAT Tax

We use Teachable as our payment processing platform. If you did not enter your country’s TAX ID during checkout, follow these steps to request a VAT tax refund:

If you reside outside the USA and need a VAT refund, use this link to contact Teachable’s tax team: Teachable Support.
In the dropdown menu, select TAX.

On the next screen, fill out the required details using the same email address you used to sign up for the course.In the "Question Type" section, check the box labeled "VAT".

What about certification?

As long as you successfully complete the course, you will receive your certification, regardless of how long it takes.
Your eligibility for certification is not affected by delays, and we’re here to support you every step of the way.

Does a coursework delay affect certification?

No need to worry! While our workshops are designed with a week structure, we understand that life happens. You can submit your coursework at your own pace, and our instructors will provide thoughtful feedback whenever you do.

When do the workshops start?

Our courses are available on demand. As soon as you enroll, you will instantly receive access to videos and course files. No need to wait for specific start dates!

I'm a complete beginner. Is DoubleJump Academy suitable for me?

Absolutely! Many of our students start with little to no prior experience. Our courses are designed to take you from beginner to advanced, step by step.

For beginners, we highly recommend "Unlocking the Magic of Houdini" with Jordan Allen, a beginner-friendly Houdini workshop.

I'm already a VFX/CGI artist. Will I still benefit from your workshops?

Yes! Our courses help experienced artists expand their skill set, learn new tools, optimize workflows, and increase earning potential.

Many professionals find these courses to be game-changers: Ultimate Explosions Workshop, FilmFX - Reverse Engineering, Real-Time VFX for Games.

Do I have to pay for shipping for the T-shirt included in the Legendary/Supremium Edition?

No, shipping is free!
After enrolling, simply fill out the form in the workshop dashboard with: Your name, address, T-shirt size and preferred design. Once submitted, we’ll take care of the rest!

Are Houdini & Nuke licenses included for free in the Legendary/Supremium editions?

No, but as a Legendary member, you get exclusive access to purchase educational licenses at a discounted rate:
Houdini – $75
Nuke – $99

These licenses are not included for free, but they are only available through authorized schools like ours.
Each license is valid for one year.

Do you offer 1-on-1 mentorship?

Yes! We offer a 10-month personalized mentorship program called FX Masters, led by Brice Lehmann.

Refund Policy

Pre-sale Workshops:
If you have purchased a pre-sale workshop, you can request a refund within 7 days of your purchase. However, after the initial 7 days, refund requests will not be accepted. The reason for this policy is to ensure that the pre-sale workshops have a fair chance to succeed. Once an instructor begins working on a workshop, excessive refund requests can jeopardize the workshop's viability and undermine the hard work put in by the instructors.

We have modeled our pre-sale policies after those of Kickstarter.

In the event that we do not achieve the desired quota (a specified number of seats sold) for the workshop, the workshop will not be conducted, and all participants will receive a full refund. This ensures that you will not incur any financial loss if the workshop does not meet the required participation threshold.

Immediate Access Workshops:
For workshops that are available for immediate access upon purchase, you have a 14 days refund policy if you are dissatisfied with the workshop. However, if you have watched more than 15% of the workshop content, a refund will not be provided. You have up to 14 days from the date of purchase to request a refund.

We appreciate your understanding of these policies, which are designed to strike a balance between supporting our instructors and ensuring customer satisfaction. If you have any questions or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Refund Policy for Price Changes:

Refunds will not be issued solely due to subsequent price reductions or sales events.
The price paid at the time of purchase is final and binding, regardless of future promotional offers or discounts. Customers who have purchased a workshop at full price are not eligible for retroactive discounts or partial refunds if a sale occurs after their purchase.
Sale Period: Sales and promotional offers are time-limited and apply only to purchases made during the specified sale period.
Previous purchases made outside of the sale period are not eligible for sale prices or discounts.
Price Matching: We do not offer price matching or adjustments for previous purchases based on current or future sale prices.
